Updates!

So, I've been super busy over the last few weeks. First of all, I still pretty much love being a substitute teacher! I especially like when I'm in the younger grades and I've figured out that 2nd grade is probably where I belong. However, I still need a job and right now, I will take almost anything, except Kindergarten (it takes a SAINT to work with those kids!) On that note, I am going to be a long term sub in a 7th grade classroom until June 5. This is a cool opportunity because it is a K-8 school so I could use my multi-subject credential in the 7th and 8th grade because you keep the same students all day long, except for math. Well, the principal came and talked to me while I was subbing in another class at the school last week and he asked me if it would be ok if he came in and gave me an evaluation. Of course I said yes any feedback would be more than welcome. Then he said that they would have some positions opening up in the fall and this could be like an audition. I was SO excited! I told him that I am not fully credentialed yet, but I would have my intern credential. He said he would, "see what we can do" YAY! I know it's hard for me to get a job because each school can only have a certain percentage of non fully credentialed teachers on their staff, but at least I can get a letter of recommendation out of this, and hopefully a job!

Other than that, I'm in the middle of finals and hopefully I can pull a 3.3 this semester, I just need to get an "A" on my Art History final. I went to my diversity final today, we didn't have an actual final because we had group presentations last week that counted as our final. Anyway, I got my research paper back and I got an "A"! I was so excited, but what is even more excited is my teacher actually wants to keep a copy of my paper! Yeah, the teacher who hated me wants my paper, I was pretty shocked too! Well, I have another paper to write for my English final and a paper for my Natural Science final and then study for my Art History final all of which are on Thursday and then GRADUATION FRIDAY! WOO HOO!
